Due to Hurricane Ike, the early registration discount has been extended.
This includes discounts on individual tickets, tables of ten, and mother-daughter registrations. Students with a valid ID receive half off the ticket price. Register now.
Invite a friend to join you at the Conference, and if your friend registers, you’ll BOTH have a chance to meet the speaker of your choice!
Discuss life/work balance with Cherie Blair, ask Meg Whitman for the secrets of eBay’s success, talk to Marcus Luttrell about what he learned about overcoming adversity, or find out what Meryl Streep is really like by asking Sarah Jones.
It’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to meet a truly amazing woman (or man!). Ask as many friends as you like to register online and have them enter your name in the “referred by” field. For every friend that registers, you and that friend will be entered in a drawing to meet the speaker of your choice, behind the scenes in the VIP room.
You can send your friends an automated email with information about the Conference, or you can create one of your own. Be sure to tell them about the meet a speaker sweepstakes and ask them to register online and list you as the referrer. Imagine the stories you’ll both have to tell if you win!
The registration deadline for the meet a speaker sweepstakes is October 8, and winners will be notified October 10. Good luck, and we look forward to seeing you at the Conference!
The leadership and staff of the Texas Conference for Women express their deepest sympathy to those affected by the devastation of Hurricane Ike. While the George R. Brown Convention Center sustained only minimal damage and has assured us the Conference will take place as planned, we will continue to monitor the recovery effort and communicate any modifications that may be necessary as a result.
While Ike has brought tremendous suffering to so many, its aftermath has also reminded us of the strength of the human spirit. To find out how you can help or to contribute online, please visit www.governor.state.tx.us/disasterfund.
Donations also may be mailed to: Office of the Governor Texas Disaster Relief Fund P.O. Box 12878 Austin, TX 78711-2878 To donate to the American Red Cross, Greater Houston, click here.
If you are currently registered for the Conference and would like additional information or would like to register, please contact us at 866-375-1785. We look forward to seeing you on October 16th.
Every year the Conference receives hundreds of inspiring applications for the six $5,000 educational scholarships we grant. With your help, we can do more to ensure these women achieve their dreams.
Thanks to the support of our sponsors, the Texas Conference for Women has awarded more than $100,000 in scholarships since the inception of the scholarship program. Scholarships are granted in the areas of business, education, nursing, math and science, public service, and the arts to women who balance academics, service, and leadership to make a difference in the community
In 2007, thanks to additional donations from our attendees, we were able to award an additional $500 honorable mention financial stipend in each category. And in today's tough economy, we know that every little bit helps.
This year, we're asking again if you can help these women achieve their dreams. If every Conference attendee donated just $5, we could award an additional $30,000 in scholarships!
If you would like to make a donation to the 2008 Scholarship Program, you may do so online or mail a donation check to the Texas Conference for Women Scholarship Program, P.O. Box 12944, Austin, TX 78711.
